We are Pam and Dan Lloyd. Along with our two children and menagerie of animals, we are very proud to introduce you to our eco-responsible glamping and camping site in Cumbria: adjacent to Farleton Knott SSSI and Hutton Roof Crags SSSI. With private pitches aimed at very small groups and families, our site offers true off-grid escapism.

Being outdoor enthusiasts who love making the most of all that our natural surroundings have to offer, we hope to share with you our passion for this beautiful part of the world.

With our love of camping, the fells and most importantly – peace and quiet.

‘Once Upon a Fell’ was born – offering small scale, quiet, eco-responsible glamping and camping in the South Lakeland region of Cumbria. What’s more, we wanted to offer our customers their very own private space in which to enjoy the quiet surroundings.
