Land owners, big or small, farms, pubs, clubs, cricket grounds, angling clubs and even private car parks – can all earn extra income. Home owners, you can earn from letting campers pitch a tent in your garden or park a motorhome on your drive way.
The camping sector is booming. Traditional sites are expensive and often full at peak times. Camp on My Land is the revolutionary alternative. When you sign up to be a host on our site, you will need to give the customer an idea of what you can offer. Tell them a little about your town or village, mention the views and the country walks, how far to the nearest shop, train or bus station. If you are hosting motorhomes or caravans, be sure to check the access is big enough to accommodate these vehicles. If you are hosting hikers with tents, they will obviously need grassed areas.
Things to remember. Is your place suitable for children, do you allow dogs, do they need to be kept on leads? Is the space hard or soft standing? Do you supply water and electricity? Bear in mind, most modern motorhomes have showers and toilets on board. If you can provide washing and toilet facilities, then this is a bonus and you can charge accordingly. (Check out our page about compost toilets). Lastly, what type of clients will you cater for: families, groups, couples? Is there a night time curfew and do you allow parties.
